Senior/ Electrical Designer

Responsibilities:
- Input the required design data into electrical index as per the defined structure and format.
- Carry out cable sizing calculations
- Prepare cable schedules
- Prepare interconnection diagrams
- Carry out lighting illumination calculations
- Prepare lighting and small power layout drawings
- Carry out cable tray routing drawings
- 3D Modelling for cable trays and panels
- Prepare electrical installation detail drawings
- Prepare electrical MTO’s
- Prepare earthing layout drawings
- Prepare material requisitions for bulk materials and technical bid evaluations
- Review suppliers’ documents
- Prepare lightning protection system layout drawings
- Site checking and verification
- Preparation of specification for electrical installation and test procedures
- Preparation of subcontract requisition for electrical installation work
- Construction supervision, testing and commissioning support
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in a Electrical with at least 8 years of relevant design/drafting experience in petrochemical, chemical, refineries or pharmaceutical plants.
- Conversant with relevant/local codes and standards and familiar with computer-aided design and drafting.
- PDS experience
